October - Atticus Happenings
Thank you for an awesome September! We celebrated the end of year harvest and welcomed the seasons change! Read on to see what new products hit the stores and what is to come this month!
FUN EVENTS & RECENT ARTICLES:
We had a pretty rad time working with our friends at Common Ground for their annual Feast from the Fields! Chef Jason chose a variety of ingredients from their farm to make a soup that showcased the fresh ingredients harvested from the farm. In true Atticus fashion - we made soup 💚
We served a chilled Tomatillo & Charred Pablano soup with pickled Serrano chilies, cotija cheese, alepo chili oil, and pork salt 🎑🌶
Thank you to all those who came out to support Common Grounds and the wonderful work they do for the youth and community of Greater New Haven!

Repost! ct.grown
Our next Farm to Chef feature is @atticusbakery !
Atticus bakery sources from many local farms. Reed and Brandi, spokespeople for Atticus commented, " We choose to support local farms because supporting local farms supports our community. The same people who we buy from are also our customers and friends. As a bonus, sourcing local provides the freshest produce and goods with a lower environmental footprint."
Throughout the year, they work with various seasonal CT grown products from many small farms/ businesses - @wellstonefarmer , @massaro_farmers, @commongroundct, @littlehenfarm, and @seacoastmushrooms, forest city farms, Yale Farm, and Walden Hill Farm. You can find local produce featured weekly on their Pizza Specials created by Matt & Jay.
Sustainable dining never tasted so good! Thank younto the team at Atticus bakery for your support!

A sandwich so good, you won't miss the meat.
We recently worked with the CT Department of Agriculture to highlight some of the dishes we make that utilize ct grown ingredients. We have been working with Seacoast Mushrooms for close to 5 years now, and highlight them in a variety of menu items at both our locations.
One of our newer items that has come to be a favorite is the Mushroom Ruben. Savory and comforting just like a traditional Ruben🍄
